Getting somewhere

So we had a pleasant chat with the foreman about this and that and it all went rather well. We discovered that the small front bedroom door, hung the wrong way, is identical in size to the new glazable one for the kitchen which will hang that way, so it's just a question of moving it down there and fitting the one intended for the kitchen to the bedroom. No bother.

A new door was installed to the TV room, and a doorframe from kitchen to utility room.

We also discussed the area under the stairs, pictured above. The plans call for it to be enlarged slightly, but not really by much. We've asked for the wall (where the doorway currently is) to be brought further back so it's level with the opening into the extension, making the kitchen much closer to an L-shape. It'll add space to the front hall and understairs loo where it's not really needed, but the shape of the kitchen will be easier to work with, we think.

I also just noticed today, in the side passage, they've cut the space for our new electricity meter.

An end to missing-the-meter-man misery.
