One less wall

Oddly, when I mentioned yesterday that the new kitchen door had been hung it never occurred to me that the frame in which they hung it was due for imminent demolition, despite having mentioned in just the previous post that this was happening.

Anyway, they took the door off today before making our stub of a kitchenette rather more open-plan than it used to be:


The wooden partition separating it from the extension shows, in the two different levels of boarding, where the new kitchen wall will be coming out:


Meanwhile the kitchen is seeming very dark today, having had all the windows sheeted in translucent plastic and a new layer of render still wet on the walls.


Tomorrow, at long last, we expect to see the much-anticipated final schedule.
