Preparatory working included clearing lots of tools and materials out of the kitchen. It's having one of its open days:
We bought our front door ironmongery (except the shop was out of chrome 5s -- I'll get that tomorrow), so I reckon the new one will be installed very soon. This will entail some serious electrical engineering, since the fuse board is still stuck to the top right of the old one:
The other thing they seem to have been at today is finalising some of the plasterwork. Around sockets, for instance, where there had just been crude holes before there are now properly shaped openings, like here in the TV room:
Similarly, they've patched the front bedroom ceiling where it had the inevitable encounter with a builder's boot during the attic renovations.
I'm convinced they can't keep pottering like this for much longer. We're well overdue something big, with just eight days until completion (yeah right).
