Pre-snag snags

Well, we never expected to see October, but here we are. Things have been especially awkward this last few days as all the niggling things about which we said "Ah, we'll fix that at the end" now have to be dealt with. Also, we've no phone again.

Anyway, it's still mostly decorating work going on. More interestingly, the plumbing of the kitchen has meant that the utility room can be cleared of the temporary units:

It'll be tiled shortly, and then we'll get the appliances and new units in. The measurements are tight, but we'll work something out.

Finally, the builders have removed the last vestiges of the old fire. This just needs painted now.


Upstairs, the back bedroom is mostly plastered:

The decorater and electrician will be moving in once that's dry.

Meanwhile, the small bathroom is causing a bit of a headache around the positioning of the sink. On the drawings it's in this alcove (formerly the hotpress), but we're going to move this wall back into the room to square it off and have a bit more flexibility.

Yes, we're dealing with the problem of a small bathroom by making it even smaller.
